Indiana’s June unemployment rate drops

Indiana’s unemployment rate dropped to 3.5 percent in June.

That’s below the national rate of 3.7 percent. Only Wisconsin (2.8) and Minnesota (3.1) have lower unemployment rates in the Midwest.

The state’s total labor force, which includes residents who are either employed or seeking employment, stands at 3.4 million.

Indiana’s labor force participation rate remained at 65 percent, which remains above the national rate of 63 percent.
