Several of Scotty’s Brewhouse locations closed their doors Saturday.
A statement can be found taped to the now-closed locations from Butler University’s campus, West Lafayette, and Mishawaka.
The statement’s found on the closed locations read, “The company has been struggling for some time and unfortunately could not overcome the deficit that was ahead of them.”
The doors closed just weeks after the Scotty’s Brewhouse in Fort Wayne closed, which added to four other locations that have closed since the end of last year.
Investors have sued the founder of Scotty’s, Scott Wise, for fraud and losing more than a million dollars when he sold the chain back in 2016. Wise has denied this.
