One of Indiana’s smaller communities has one of the country’s newest police cars.
The Bargersville Police Department says its new Tesla police cruiser will hit the streets today.
The Tesla Model 3 is the first all-electric police car for the town of about 7,500 people, about 30 miles south of Indianapolis.
Chief Todd Bertram says electric cars are the future.
He also says the new Tesla is very quiet, so it may help police surprise a few people while out on patrol.
