Lafayette breaks ground on $20 million ballpark

The city of Lafayette has broken ground on a brand new $20 million ballpark that will replace the 80-year-old Loeb Stadium.

Inside Indiana Business says the exterior will represent the stadium’s original 1940s-era design, but the interior will have a new look and feel, including turf field.

The new stadium will have 2,500 seats and will be used not just for baseball, but soccer and football games, concerts, and other events year-round.
