Indy Animal Care Services suspend cat adoption fees for the month

Cat overload. It’s an issue that animal shelters all across the state are dealing with this time of the year, including Indianapolis Animal Care Services.

IACS Deputy Director Katie Trennepohl says right now, they are close to 200 cats at their shelter but only have 110 cages.

The adoption numbers for kittens aren’t bad at IACS, but Trennepohl is suggesting more people adopt adult cats. To help make room at the shelter, and give people a greater opportunity to adopt, IACS is waiving all adoption fees on animals for the rest of the month.
