Alarming report shows 95% of baby food contains toxic metals

An alarming new report claims that a whopping 95% of storebought baby food contains toxic metals that could be harmful for your infant’s development.

The report, published at HealthyBabyFood.org, tested 168 baby products from major U.S. manufacturers. 94% of those products contained lead, while about 75% contained arsenic or cadmium and 32% contained mercury. 25% of the foods contained all four.

So what can parents do? The report recommends switching to rice-free baby snacks, avoiding carrot and sweet-potato-based baby foods, and switching to water instead of fruit juice.
