More than 1,000 surgical patients are suing a northern Indiana hospital after being told that a sterilization failure may have exposed them to deadly infections.
According to the Elkhart Truth, the class-action suit was filed last week in Elkhart County Court against Goshen Hospital on behalf of Linda Gierek and others who had surgery between April and September.
The suit alleges the patients may have been exposed to hepatitis C, B, and HIV.
