A Marion teenager has been arrested on charges of rape and child molesting, both level 3 felonies.
According to a Probable Cause Affidavit, the incident occurred in early November. The victim told police that they became tired and went to lay down after the defendant offered them a marijuana cigarette.
The affidavit states that the victim alleged the defendant took off the victim’s clothes and covered their mouth during the incident.
Reports indicate that during interviews with the police, the defendant stated he did not do that to the victim. The affidavit notes that the defendant’s demeanor was calm and that he “started to act like he was falling asleep while in the interview room.”
Records do not indicate a court date has yet been set in this case.
