It may have happened one day later than planned, but the annual Christmas Parade kicked off the Holiday Season in Marion last night.
The annual parade was postponed Saturday because of strong storms and heavy rainfall and moved to Sunday evening. Though much colder than Saturday, the parade went off without a hitch last evening.
At the end of the parade, Marion Mayor Jess Alumbaugh flipped the switch to light the Marion Walkway of Lights for the first time this year. The Walkway of Lights will be illuminated each night through New Year’s Eve.
