You’ll still have to buy beer at a liquor store if you want to buy it cold in Indiana.
After three hours of committee testimony yesterday, only one of 10 senators supported expanding cold beer sales to convenience stores. The vote all but kills the bill for this year.
Opponents…led by liquor store owners…argued that traffic volume at convenience stores would make underage purchases harder to control. Those controls are built in at liquor stores, where minors aren’t even allowed inside.
