The head of the Grant County Planning Commission has been appointed to a state steering committee that will look into making improvements along I-69.

Larry Strange was appointed by the Grant County Commissioners to that committee.  They will look into what improvements can be made along the interstate between Pendleton and Marion.

According to the “Chronicle-Tribune,” the steering committee will look into what is needed along that stretch of I-69, then will try to figure out how to pay for it through various grants or by lobbying federal and state lawmakers.
