Sunday Was First Day For Indiana Alcohol Sales

Sunday was an historic day for Hoosiers as many made their way to liquor stores and other stores that sell alcohol to be some of the first to buy when the new law took effect at noon yesterday.

Governor Eric Holcomb signed the historic bill last Wednesday to make Sunday alcohol sales legal in Indiana for the first time since the 1800s.

In the spirit of the day, Governor Holcomb was the first in line at a liquor store in Indianapolis at noon on Sunday to make a purchase.
