Indiana deer hunters can help feed hungry Hoosiers again this year.
Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry will take a deer that you kill, process the meat, and help provide meals for those that need them. 85 butcher shops in Indiana are taking part in the program this year. You can find a list of the butcher shops online at hoosiersfeedingthehungry.org .
The organization received almost 11-hundred deer and six thousand pounds of venison meat last year, which served about 240-thousand meals.
