A proposal to create a fire department-based city ambulance service will be studied further by members of Muncie City Council.
The proposal that would create a Muncie Emergency Medical Service was greeted with skepticism and questions from both city council members as well as the public, who lined up to tell the council that a city E-M-S would not only harm Delaware County E-M-S by making thousands of runs inside the city limits but also would be a repetition of services.
