The annual Polar Plunge at Prairie Creek Reservoir was cancelled Monday after officials determined it was just too cold for persons to enter the icy waters.
Air temperatures were at 3 below zero late Monday morning and wind chills were even colder than that, so officials decided to cancel the plunge.
