State Health Department statistics show that Grant County is one of the most unhealthy counties in Indiana, and much of it is blamed on smoking.
A new coalition of community members known as “TORCH” is leading an effort to help Grant County residents quit smoking once and for all.
Freedom From Smoking classes begin Wednesday evening at 6 at Marion General Hospital in the Bridges To Health Building. The classes meet once a month at M-G-H and registration for the classes cost 25-dollars. But the TORCH Coalition will refund that month once you complete the classes.
You can call Marion General Hospital for more information at (765) 660-6000.
