Kokomo’s Sol House hosts vigil for refugees

Close to 70 people on Friday evening read poetry, played music, recited prayers and stood in silence in protest of conditions at the U.S. boarder, according to The Kokomo Tribune.

The group met in front of the Sol House as part of a nationwide vigil event known as Lights for Liberty.

According to the Tribune, Sol House raised its goal of $1,500 for nonprofit organizations Freedom for Immigrants and Together Rising.
