Hurricane Barry’s heavy rains to hit Indiana today, followed by sweltering heat

It’s going to be too rainy today, then too hot for the rest of the week for most of the state of Indiana.

The National Weather Service says what’s left of Hurricane Barry will roll through the state today, bringing heavy rains.

It will then get dangerously hot for most of the state.

Forecasters say the heat index will be near or over 100 degrees for almost the entire state heading into the weekend.
