Marion Police Department officers have arrested two Marion residents and charged them with several crimes related to child molestation.
Police charged Joshua David Arthur Trimm, 26, and Mary A Hazelwood, 26, with four level one counts of child molestation, a level four count of child exploitation, a level four count of child pornography and several level six counts of sexual conduct in front of a minor.
On July 31 at 11:33 a.m. a family member contact MPD officers after discovering explicit messages between Trimm and Hazelwood.
According to a press release, it was discovered that Hazelwood and Trimm had engaged in various sexual actions with each other in the presence of Hazelwood’s seven-year-old daughter.
It was also disclosed that there had been inappropriate sexual interaction between Trimm and the child.
When Hazelwood and Trimm were interviewed by police they admitted to the allegations.
The seven-year-old is now under the care of The Department of Child Services.
Each are being held on a $100,000 bond.
