A&E, History Channel back out of Dillinger documentary

It turns out there won’t be a documentary about John Dillinger after all. A&E and the History Channel said they will not do a story about the exhumation of Dillinger’s body.

Dan Silberman, Senior Vice President of Communications, made that announcement Wednesday morning but did not give a reason as to why they weren’t moving forward with the project.

The idea of the documentary was announced in July.

Last month, family members of the infamous bank robber from the 1920s and 30s said they had reason to believe the body buried in Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis actually isn’t Dillinger’s.
