A new report says Scott County is recovering from an HIV outbreak that happened several years ago.
It’s titled “Ending HIV in America: Insights from the Frontlines.”
It says both the Scott County Health Department and state lawmakers have done a good job supporting a needle exchange program, providing more routine testing, and educating people about medication.
Scott County, however, still has the third-highest HIV rate in the nation.
