A Los Angeles teen has escaped with just a foot injury after he fell 200 feet from a cliff while attempting to take a selfie.
The incident occurred Thursday evening in Palos Verdes Estates, according to the L.A. Fire Department. Officials say the 17-year-old victim was taking a picture of himself at the edge of the cliff when he apparently lost his footing and fell.
Rescuers had to use a helicopter to hoist the teen to safety, officials say. He was taken to a nearby hospital with a possible foot fracture.
